Welcome to the History & Resources page of the Council of Canadians of African and Caribbean Heritage (CCACH).
Our story began in 1985, when community leaders founded the Council of Black Organizations (CBO) to create a united voice for Canadians of African and Caribbean heritage. Since then, CCACH has grown into a vibrant organization dedicated to enhancing the social, economic, and educational life of our communities in Edmonton and across Canada.
On this page, you’ll find:
Highlights from our rich history and community milestones
Inspiring stories from members and leaders
Educational resources and tools to celebrate and share African and Caribbean heritage
We invite you to explore our journey, learn more about our impact, and access resources that support learning, connection, and cultural pride. Whether you are a long-time member or new to our community, we’re glad you’re here.
